David Vogelstein is a criminal defense attorney based in Marin County and the head coach of Tam High Mock Trial. In his 20 years of coaching the team, he’s led the program to 20 Marin County Championships, two state titles and the 2005 National Championship. He’s best known in the mock trial community for the tattoos of the team’s victories he has on his arm – as well as his affinity for always drinking Diet Coke.

Casey Khademi

Khademi graduated Tam High in 2010 – competing on Tam High Mock Trial for 4 years and leading the team to its 2009 state championship victory. After highschool, she attended Stanford University where she also captained and coached Stanford Mock Trial – winning All-National Attorney with the highest ranks in the 2011 and 2012 National Tournaments. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees fromStanford University and currently works in sales


 for RightJoin – a start-up in San Francisco. Casey is known for always carrying a Starbuck cup, talking about SoulCycle and crying incessantly when she won Golden State Mock Trial‘s “Coach of the Year” Award.



Jack Budish

Budish graduated Tam High in 2011 – competing on Tam High Mock Trial for 3 years. He served as captain of the program his senior year and was also a part of the 2009 state championship team. He attended UCLA where he was best known for walking and


talking backwards as a campus tour guide. At UCLA, Budish also competed with UCLA’s nationally recognized college mock trial program, winning an All-National Attorney award in 2012. He is currently a 3L at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Budish specializes in coaching Tam’s pretrial attorneys.


Abigail Kertzman

Abigail Kertzman graduated Tam High in 2010. In addition to competing on Tam High Mock Trial for 3 years, she wrote for the Tam News and was a member of their AIM11224801_10205771385377626_650060454264105308_oprogram. After high school she attended Washington University in St. Louis where she led their mock trial program to placing in the top ten nationally. She currently lives in San Francisco with her incredibly adorable (and sleepy) cat.
